Polinesia, present at the 24th edition of O Marisquiño, a record festival

Madrid, September 9, 2024 – Polinesia

Four days of August gave a lot of fun at O Marisquiño, the Urban Culture festival that has been held in Vigo since the summer of 2001. This year it proved once again that expectations are to be exceeded.

The event, the largest urban culture and sports festival in southern Europe, which was enjoyed live by more than 160,000 people, was loaded with novelties and proposals that dazzled both locals and vacationers.

We didn’t want to miss the opportunity to be present at one of the Urban Culture festivals that best represents what Polynesia is and why we feel like fish in water in this type of environment.

We located our stand on the beach of Samil, in the Village area, where the public could enjoy the best of the event and get a multitude of exclusive Polynesia products that, in addition, were great for them to enjoy the event to the fullest.

From swimsuits and bikinis to get a tan and take a dip in the Galician waters, through t-shirts and shorts with which to be comfortable, to flip-flops and sneakers with which to jump, dance and go to every corner of O Marisquiño.

We know firsthand that the festival is going to do its best to celebrate its 25th anniversary, in Polinesia we are already thinking about O Marisquiño 2025. Everything points to be the best edition so far and we hope to be with you all again.

To attend O Marisquiño you don’t have to be a sportsman or a graffiti artist, or even a great music lover. The only thing you need is the desire to live experiences, to learn and, above all, to enjoy.

OLYMPIC ATHLETES

As a good Urban Culture event, O Marisquiño hosts sports disciplines such as skateboarding, BMX, 3×3 basketball or break dance, many of them Olympic in Paris 2024.

In fact, the festival has become so important that we could see the podiums of the skateboarding disciplines filled with athletes fresh from the Olympic Games held just a few days earlier in the French capital, as well as BMX tricks that had never been seen before.

One of the novelties of O Marisquiño 2024 was the presence of inclusive urban sport, with the participation of up to 10 riders with different disabilities whose dedication and mastery delighted the tens of thousands of attendees.

URBAN CULTURE IN VIGO

In addition to enjoying some of the best athletes on the national and international scene, those attending O Marisquiño could enjoy musical performances by artists such as Reality, Lablackie, Rusowsky, Kyne, Six Sex, Abhir or Lua de Santana, urban artists who filled a 10-meter long wall with their creations and international food for all tastes.

In addition, the public could also learn a lot in a large number of workshops both sports present in O Marisquiño and Street Art. This festival of Urban Culture, has become a claim for the city of Vigo at European level and the epicenter of street style. Next year more!
